Boobie Smoothies – Increase Your Breast Milk Supply

Mommas, are you struggling with your milk supply? Let me tell you, breastfeeding didn’t come very natural to me or Hayvn, in fact we rode the struggle bus hard.

Long story short, Hayvn had a problem sucking and swallowing, a condition called a tongue thrust. Meaning, although her latch was great and it appeared as though she was drinking, she wasn’t actually getting any of my milk. Due to this, I had to resort to exclusively breast pumping in order to feed her breast milk.

Once I had switched from breastfeeding to using a breast pump, I noticed my supply had started to dwindle. I really wanted to continue feeding Hayvn my breast milk so I began to search for ways to increase my milk supply. What I found was gold!

These natural smoothies helped me boost my milk supply from 1 ounce per session to 3 ounces in just one week and then increased my supply to 6 ounces in just two weeks!

These boobie smoothies not only taste AMAZING, but they are guaranteed to increase your breast milk supply! Drink up and enjoy mommas!

Chocolate Peanut Butter

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Chocolate Almond Milk
  • 2 Tablespoons Ground Flaxseed Meal
  • 2 Tablespoons Peanut Butter or Almond Butter
  • 1 Large Banana
  • 1/3 Cup Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
  • 1 Tablespoon Brewer’s Yeast
  • Ice (3-4 Good Sized Ice Cubes)

Directions

  1. Place all the ingredients except the ice in the blender and blend until oats are a drinkable consistency (about 2 minutes).
  2. Place ice into the blender and blend until smooth.

Notes:

  • I freeze the bananas in small chunks, and use them in place of the ice, to add to the consistency of the smoothie. It makes it a little thicker and doesn’t water it down like the ice does.
  • Brewer’s Yeast is the most important ingredient for increasing your breast milk supply. Do not skip or substitute this ingredient.
  • You may substitute the chocolate almond milk for any flavor of almond or coconut milk.

This is amazing. I can’t tell you how much I am happy I found this post. I’ve been trying to breastfeed my son and he’s having trouble latching on so it’s so hard to get him to eat a good amount. I tried these oatmeal cookies but they taste like cardboard and now that i’m pumping my milk is also getting low. I use to get about 3 ounces in one sitting, not i’m only getting about 1 ounce and he’s starting to drink 4 ounces at a time so i’ve been having to give him formula with the breastmilk. These smoothies all look so yummy, especially the mango pineapple. I will be trying these for the next couple of weeks and see if its makes a difference. Thanks so much for sharing. This is a blessing.
